A boatbuilding process by Penn State Abington students will be featured in the campus art gallery in September and blog posts and a video document their adventures leading up to the launch in the Delaware River this summer.
Seven Penn State Abington art students were honored this week at the annual Bertha Lear Student Art Exhibition for work developed during the 2021-22 academic year in studio art courses.

"Juliana Cragin's subtle and sophisticated visual narrative, 'Memento Mori,' draws the reader into the artist's personal life experience and inner thoughts during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. The Penn State Abington Art Gallery presents "20 for '20," a special exhibition of 20 photographs by students that document, speak to, and reflect the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Itis a projected slideshow and is visible from just outside the glass wall of the gallery to maintain social distancing guidelines through March 19.
During the first days of transitioning to remote learning due to the pandemic, John Thompson, assistant teaching professor of art at Penn State Abington, asked his students to create videos that would make sense if it played in reverse.
